Que : 278. What is the capacity of readjustment exhibited in Indian society? Is it the strength or the weakness of Indian society? |
Answer: It is the strength not the weakness of Indian society. Had it been for the tolerance shown by the people of India during invasion and establishment of Mughals and other outsiders who brought their own traditions and sought to impose them on this conutry. The atmosphere, flexible Indian culture would have lost its mooring. The Indian mind has assimilated much of the thinking of other culture, thus enriching it self and making it self durable and virtually indestructible. So I think it is the strength of Indian culutre. |
